Job Well Done

Thank you all for a very successful, QUICK draft today! The entire draft lasted 40 minutes, and I have to say I was surprised at some of the draft picks. Not all the perennial favorites, which was quite interesting. It's nice to see new names on teams.

Last Minute Scramble

It is now 70 minutes before the start of the 2009 draft. I hope you have been doing your scouting and are ready for the year. Here in the interim commish's house, we are ready to go. Smack talk may begin during the draft...if I recall correctly you will be able to input comments on the right hand side of the screen.

Don't forget to send me an owner/team overview so I can blog about all the teams before the first official game.

New Rules for 2009

Although I have handed over the reigns of this league for the interim, I will still be be making decisions regarding the league. Jennifer, our interim commissioner, will be responsible for overseeing and implementing any decisions that are made until I return to the helm.

To begin with, I have made to rule changes. This post will serve as notice of those rule changes and will be open to comments through this blog. The rule changes are listed below.

1. Any team drafting Michael Vick will forfeit the first 8 games of the season.
2. Any team drafting Brett Favre will forfeit the first 3 games of the season.

Comments on these rule changes will be open until the draft.

It Has Begun

There's nothing better than the official first kick of football season, especially if that first kick is taking place at Heinz Field! Preseason has started coaches....let the scouting begin!

It's Only Temporary

Hello Team Owners and Fans of Caterina's Coaches Football League!

I just wanted to say how happy I am that the league is continuing this year. I have confidence that after a year out of the biz, the commissioner will come "out of retirement" and be back next year to lead the leauge once again.

In an effort for folks to get to know this blog, I will be asking each team member to post their Tuesday Morning Quarterback recapping the previous week here rather than on the Yahoo page. If you don't want to directly post here, you can e-mail me the post and I will be happy to put it up on the site. Also, before the season begins, please e-mail me a photo of yourself, your team name, and anything else you want the league to know about you before we start.

I will be working with Jim to get our draft set up. Don't worry, we'll deal with any hiccups in the system along the way. Awards will be given out in the same categories of previous years. Everything will remain as it was before.

This site will be the "official" site for the league. I will post draft orders, player moves awarded, and all pertinent information here. Don't worry, if you lose the link I will put it in the notes on the Yahoo page so you can remember to come check here.
